Spring

Wow!

What a crazy spring.

We had snow coming down until the last week of May, then, overnight, it turned into sunny days of 70F.  The extra moisture has been great for our drought. Not so much for our garden. Our growing season is so short anyway I’m afraid the loss of a month or so will prevent all our crops from ripening. Ah, well. Not much we can do about it.

Our cold crops our doing okay.  Peas are growing, onions and garlic are great. Some other things are poking up, but the quick change to heat may not be great for some of those cooler loving plants. Our third round of tomatoes and peppers are finally staying alive. Seeing how this is only our second year of gardening up here, we just don’t know what to expect.

Guess it will be a fun surprise.
